Subsequent to a short drive from Pokhara, our euphoric trekking escapade commences from Nayapul. From here, we’ll trek on the trail adjacent to the banks of a river, traversing dense woodlands and settlements to reach Ghorepani Village, primarily inhabited by Magar communities. Later, we’ll make an ascent to the top of Poon Hill to observe the mesmerizing sunrise above the magnificent mountain peaks i.e. enveloped in snow and adorned with the heavenly fusion of Nepal’s natural beauty. The vistas are simply gorgeous and spell-binding! We’ll then head to the Gurung settlement of Ghandruk. Besides nature’s irresistible natural pulchritude of Nepal; our Annapurna Short Trek also encourages the trekkers to get acquainted with the authentic culture, traditions and classic lifestyle of ethnic tribes such as Gurung and Magar. Ultimately, the joyful trek ends at Nayapul.

Subsequent to a drive utilizing one and half hours via a private vehicle, we’ll arrive at Nayapul aka ‘Gateway to Annapurna Trekking’. From this point onwards, we’ll begin our trekking journey and pursue the route that initially advances along the Modi Khola to the settlement of Birethanti (1,015m) where we are needed to show our TIMS and trekking permit at ACAP check-point. We’ll then navigate along the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola to Hille (1,495m). As we move further, we’ll make it to Tikhedhunga (1,540m). On our way to Ulleri village (1,960m); we’ll now negotiate an abrupt stretch of trail comprising 3000 stone steps.
Catching spectacular glimpses of early sunrise above the majestic Himalayas, we’ll leave Ulleri behind in order to follow the trail progressing across the woodland of rhododendron and oak to Bhantanti (2,250m). Here at this spot, we can gaze at the snow-covered peaks of Machhapuchhre (6,997m), Hiunchuli (6,441m) and Annapurna South (7,219m). Thereafter, we’ll move forward beyond Nangethanti (2,460m) and verdant woodlands to reach Ghorepani (2,850m). Chiefly populated by Magar communities; the village of Ghorepani renders a window of opportunity to acquire an insight into traditional culture and lifestyle of native people. In addition, the village also rewards trekkers with the sublime outlooks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Massifs.
Prior to the break of the day, we’ll advance on the pathway leading all the way to the viewpoint at Poon hill situated at the elevation of 3,210m asl. Greatly admired around the globe for the magnificent Himalayan panorama; Poon Hill bestows the close-up display of heart-warming sunrise above Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Massifs Nilgiri (6,940m), as well as the towering Tukuche (6,920m), Varaha Shikhar (7,847m), Lamjung Himal (6,931m) and other adjacent lofty summits. Rejoice in a natural amphitheatre where you can witness a true marvel of Mother Nature. This delightful moment is one of the primary winnings that trekkers earn after a back-breaking trek in the mountain terrain. We’ll capture this natural splendour within our mind and cameras then return back to Ghorepani. Subsequently, we’ll push on through the rhododendron woodland to Deurali and proceed down to Tadapani (2,520m). This lovely settlement flaunts the snow-capped mountaintops of Machhapuchhre (6,993m), Annapurna South (7,219m), and Hiunchuli (6,441m).
Today, we’ll climb down gradually through the rhododendron forest and set our foot in Ghandruk (1,940m). Beautiful in both the cultural and natural aspects; Ghandruk is the largest Gurung settlement in the region where trekkers can discover, learn and understand the authentic Gurung culture and the traditional lifestyle of the native communities. For that, you can explore the village and pay a visit to Ghandruk Gurung Museum. On top of that, individuals can contemplate the magnificence of Machhapuchhre (6,997m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Mardi Himal (5,587m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), and other mountains in the vicinity. Bidding our farewells to the friendly neighbourhood, we’ll now make our way past Syaulibazaar and Birethanti to Nayapul (1,070m). From this point onwards, we’ll drive to Pokhara via a private vehicle. At evening, get some fresh air around Lakeside area or spend some quality time at one of the prominent landmarks of Pokhara City.
